To give you all a further understanding on how everything operates at THG we introduce the important and exciting aspect of sales. An integral part of the THG operations is to manage clients and buyers, within our team is the lovely sales coordinator, Amelia. We asked Amelia a couple of questions which may spike the curiosity of many.
What does a typical day look like?
We are always checking emails and orders from the night before. We do different things all the time really. For example, each Monday we send out new releases to our buyers. We also help buyers develop and find what they are looking for. We also travel to Sydney a lot to visit our stockists down there. We are always on the scout for new stockists for THG in their store.
What are your favorite places to travel and why?
I love exploring Asia. Places like Thailand are my favourite. I really want to go to Mexico next. I just love that everything is an organised mess but it still functions. It’s like a beautiful mess. It’s quite beautiful to look at. I just love the lifestyles in those places.

Advice for someone wanting to work in Fashion?
Work in the wholesale industry! Fashion is 80% business and 20% creative, so it’s important to have some business knowledge and to work in wholesale before moving on. It’s good to understand how it works and how buying patterns work.

What do you love about working in Fashion?
It’s always changing and evolving. Not every day is the same. I like getting to talk and deal with so many people. Plus, travelling is great!
