BEHIND THE SCENES OF OUR NEXT THG CAMPAIGN
Posted on 15 March 2017
Last week, International Women’s Day set the scene for our female-led creative team to kick butt! As an intern for THG I was lucky enough to go along and experience first hand how the day worked.
Determined to fetch coffee and stay out of the way, I was stoked to find that the gal pals here refuse to let interns perform menial tasks and instead I was involved in everything, from collating BTS Instagram vids to ensuring garments were displayed correctly. I was also integral to the difficult but oh-so-necessary job of assisting the photographer in capturing his perfect shot.
As the stage was set, our beautiful leading lady, Natyse Chan
(rocking her own look from THG) reported for duty in her very own Tides Mini Dress (which will be restocked oh so soon) paired back with a pair of Timberlands, as always she looked flawless even before make up!
As the day progressed the weather held out and provided sunshine and smiles allowing us to shoot of over 70 looks - making for a jam-packed day.
The team scurried to bring it together in record time but we survived off a cheeky bite between looks and endless cups of coffee. Despite a gruelling day the ladies did what they do best and finished on a high. After all it wouldn’t be the fashion industry without tight deadlines now would it?
Being in the thick of it and seeing first hand the process of both campaign and look book shots, the day flew by all too fast. The results however, are flawless and the team here at THG are excited to bring you a collection filled with feminine sets, silky slips, classic spots and pops of mustard. My all time favourite Velvet is also making a steady comeback and THG more than delivers with exciting statement pieces!
NEW COLLECTION will be dropping first week of April - Be sure to keep your eyes peeled!
Setting the stage THG, I would like to thank our fresh location; The Borrowed Nursery at Mermaid Beach. This leading business founded by best mates Lauren and Lauren is yet another example of girl power. Check out their bespoke homewares here
